Breathe with Purpose
Hope you will save the date for my workshop at YOCOMO June 2nd, 1:30-3:30 pm
This workshop will focus on breathing practices, with a hint of asana and a dose of self-reflection and inquiry. The breath is the link between the mind and the body in yoga. Learn how to use it to relax, energize, and create mental focus.

pranayama for peace:
breathing in I connect with my peaceful center
breathing out I connect with my peaceful center
optimism
Attitude can be like a fork in the road, we can choose which direction to go. If things are going well, it is easier to choose to be positive. True courage and strength come from choosing optimism, even in the face of adversity. This is a lesson my Teacher repeated to me…so today, even if it is not so easy, BE OPTIMISTIC…why not? He always says, “what is yours will come to you” and we always added the mantra “Thy Will”.
If you come across someone who needs a lift, share this affirmation with them.
The “ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha” breath can be very encouraging as a tool – try it 🙂
just breathe
Conscious sighing can help release tension. All you do is inhale through the nose and exhale with an “Aaahhh” sound. A few repetitions, then return to inhale through the nose to a count of 5, exhale through the nose to a count of 5. “You are where you need to be. Just breathe”
believe
Discouraged? Sometimes it helps to try things differently, sometimes not to try, but always BELIEVE that natures design evolves itself. Pranayama for optimism:
Your inhales can be long, passive and slow, the exhales will be shorter bursts. You can keep your hands on the belly and use them to pump the abdomen until you are comfortable and feel more adept at the rhythm.
